About Us

Hi! I’m Sallie and this is my little brother Ted

We are a brother-and-sister team who also happen to be best friends. Raised with a Waldorf education, we grew up surrounded by natural materials and the freedom to imagine. As children, our absolute favorite thing to do was simply to play together—building worlds, sharing adventures, and learning how to collaborate from day one.

Today, we bring that exact same teamwork and childhood joy of play into everything we create at Salted Toys.

For us, making toys is more than just a craft; it is a shared vocation to create. We honor the beauty of creation by giving new life to reclaimed wood, carefully hand-shaping each piece, and finishing them with natural, non-toxic paints. We believe that things made by hand with care, intention, and a sense of wonder can bring a little more warmth and quiet joy into the everyday.From our workshop to your home, we hope our toys inspire generations of beautiful play.
